Vixen 357 is a Sega Genesis tactical RPG released in Japan in 1992. It remained a Japanese exclusive until retro publishers Shinyuden announced that a brand new English translation was coming. We have already looked at one of their previous releases, Traysia, last year, and were impressed with the quality. Now, Shinyuden officially confirms that the English physical cartridge edition of Vixen 357 will begin shipping worldwide on June 30, 2026. Those interested can still pre-order a copy now.

The game is set in the 24th century, where humans are fighting a brutal war with aliens. Players will use resource management, positioning, and careful decisions to control an elite unit of mechs. Vixen 357 is a classic TRPG that uses a mix of overhead maps and cinematic sequences during combat.

In a press statement, Shinyuden said. “A cult classic from the golden era of tactical RPGs has arrived in the English market! Shinyuden revives one of the most celebrated strategic hidden gems of  the early ’90s with a brand-new English physical edition of VIXEN 357, fully  playable on original Sega Mega Drive and compatible consoles.”
