Developer Visco Corporation has announced Bang² Busters 2, with publishing duties being handled by retro specialists PixelHeart. This is the sequel to the 2010 hit and will be released on Neo Geo and Dreamcast, as with the first entry. We don’t know much about the project except that a Kickstarter page has been registered, with interested parties being able to sign up for email notification when the crowdfunding goes live.

The original Bang² Busters was a typical platform title developed back in 1994, but it never saw release until much later. It was first released for the Neo Geo AES, before also being made available for Neo Geo MVS and Neo Geo CD. It saw a further release for the Dreamcast in 2018, and most versions are still available to buy on PixelHeart’s website.

In a press release, PixelHeart said. “Bang² Busters 2 continues the eccentric, sugary universe of the first opus, while taking its mechanics and scenario a step further. The game will be available on Neo Geo AES/MVS and Dreamcast. We can’t wait to show you more! In the meantime, the Kickstarter pre-launch page is open, so feel free to pre-register to be notified as soon as the campaign launches.”
