We recently brought you the news that Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders was heading to Steam later this year. Now, developer Homo Narrans Studio has announced that the adventure detective title will be starting the investigation on September 4th, 2025. Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders is a retro-inspired point-and-click adventure set in late 19th-century Leipzig, Germany. 

Players step into the role of Detective Joseph Kreiser as they explore the fog-shrouded streets of Leipzig and unravel four gripping murder cases. Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders is a richly atmospheric point-and-click detective adventure set in a rarely explored chapter of European history. The adventure centers around investigating a string of murders in Leipzig, Germany, a booming industrial city on the cusp of the 20th century. As Kreiser, you’ll examine clues, interrogate suspects, and piece together evidence to solve four murder cases in a classic point-and-click format.

After four years in development, solo developer Gregor Müller is excited to release Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders. Throughout its development, the game has attracted attention within the point-and-click adventure community and has been showcased at events such as AdventureX, Indie Game Fest Cologne, CAGGTUS, and NEXO. It also earned second place in the newcomer category at the Games Innovation Award Saxony (GIAS).
