Discover Apple’s First-Ever Official Emulator “iGBA” on the App Store

Apple recently announced the availability of emulators on their app store, with the launch of the “iGBA” emulator for iOS users. This emulator allows users to play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance ROMs for free. Despite concerns from developers about potential legal issues with paywalling their apps due to Nintendo‘s history of suing emulator creators, some have chosen to add advertisements instead. The iGBA emulator has a user-friendly interface and features like fast forward, save state, load state, cheat codes, and a sustain button. While the emulation community has pointed out that the iGBA emulator has borrowed heavily from a discontinued emulator called Delta GBA4iOS, the app still provides a smooth experience for gamers.

I’m Yousiff Taqi, born in ’87, and I’ve been a huge fan of retro games for as long as I can remember. My favorites are RPGs, Platformers, and Action Adventure. I’ve been interested in computers ever since I was young, which is why I pursued a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Now, armed with my passion for both retro gaming and computer engineering, I’m excited to embark on new adventures in the world of technology, where I hope to merge my interests and make meaningful contributions.
