Retro Game Emulators Are Coming to the App Store

Apple recently announced that iPhones can now use retro game emulators, a feature that was previously only available for Android devices. These emulators are not allowed to include any pre-installed games, and must comply with all legal regulations. This change in policy may have been influenced by a court ruling in the EU that allows iPhone users to download apps from alternative stores. By expanding the availability of apps on its own store, Apple aims to prevent users from seeking out third-party options. It is important to note that this new rule applies globally, not just in Europe.

I’m Yousiff Taqi, born in ’87, and I’ve been a huge fan of retro games for as long as I can remember. My favorites are RPGs, Platformers, and Action Adventure. I’ve been interested in computers ever since I was young, which is why I pursued a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Now, armed with my passion for both retro gaming and computer engineering, I’m excited to embark on new adventures in the world of technology, where I hope to merge my interests and make meaningful contributions. https://www.instagram.com/Aeon https://twitter.com/FencerDarkwind
