Dragonyhm is a JRPG that has been developed for the GBC by Spacebot Interactive. It was initially released on ModRetro’s new Chromatic handheld and garnered favourable reviews from players and critics. Now, retro publisher Incube8 Games has launched another print run of Dragonyhm designed for the actual GBC. It’s up now for pre-order, although supplies are limited, with an expected shipping date of late May 2025.
The original print run sold out almost immediately, so eager GB fans now have a second chance. In a press statement, Incube8 Games said. “The time has come! You can now order your copy, while supplies last. Please note that quantities are limited, as this is a single-print release. While we are currently prioritising pre-order fulfilment, new orders will begin shipping on May 26th.”
The publisher also confirmed that only the Limited Collector’s edition was available and it includes a purple sealed box with exclusive artwork, clear black cartridge, silkscreened PCB with artwork on the back side, clear black cartridge protector, Instruction booklet, Dragonyhm stickers sheet, two hard enamel pins, and a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity.
In regards to the actual Dragonhym game itself, players take control of Kris, son of the slayer, embarking on a quest to find him. They’ll meet memorable characters while uncovering the rich history of Archend, and uncover a plot that threatens to destroy the kingdom. There are nine main dungeons to explore, plenty of secrets to uncover, battle and levelling up systems, and around ten hours of gameplay.
