Frosthaven is a new adaptation of the acclaimed board game of the same name. It’s releasing into early access on Steam and Epic on the 31st of July 2025 and will be priced at around $40. Those lucky enough to be heading to this month’s Gamescom will be able to play the game in an exclusive demo. Frosthaven has been developed by Arc Games and Snapshot Games, which will be published by Twin Sails. There will be an offer bundle for Twin Sails‘ other title, Gloomhaven, when it releases.

The original board game was designed by Isaac Childes and and this new adaptation will be an evolution of Frosthaven. It plays as a dark fantasy tactical RPG and serves as a spiritual successor to Gloomhaven. Players can expect deep mechanics and challenging yet immensely satisfying gameplay, both in single-player and co-op online multiplayer. Seasoned veterans of the original board game or Gloomhaven will feel right at home venturing into the unforgiving and treacherous northern frontier of Frosthaven.
