In the Game Boy version of Tetris, there are a few special cutscenes that players can unlock based on their performance:
- Rocket Launch Animations: These animations are shown in A-Type mode when players achieve certain scores:
- A small rocket launches if you score between 100,000 and 149,999 points.
- A medium-sized rocket launches for scores between 150,000 and 199,999 points.
- A large rocket, resembling the Buran shuttle, launches when you score 200,000 points or more.
- Russian Dancers: This cutscene is shown in B-Type mode when you complete 25 lines on level 9. The number of dancers increases with the initial height level. If you complete level 9 with a height setting of 5, you will also see the Buran shuttle launch.
These cutscenes serve as visual rewards for achieving specific milestones in the game, adding an extra layer of motivation for players to reach high scores or complete challenging levels.
