Pixel Art Hack & Slash Ghost Vanguard Seeks Funding

Ghost Vanguard is a new roguelike beat ‘em up from developer Wombo Combo Games. It’s currently seeking development funding via a Kickstarter campaign that aims to get the game onto Steam and Switch. The developer has described Ghost Vanguard as “a roguelike beat ‘em up for fans of Dragon’s Crown, Devil May Cry, and Castlevania”. There is currently a Steam demo available for backers to try before committing.

The two-person team hopes to raise $20,000 to complete the development of Ghost Vanguard. Any additional funds will contribute to stretch goals, supporting the development of additional language support, new playable characters, NG+ modes, and console ports for PlayStation and Xbox. Rewards also include ways for backers to leave their mark on the game by leaving personalised messages in the world of Ghost Vanguard, designing spells, relics, and statues that enhance gameplay and bosses.

A new trailer is available that showcases more of Ghost Vanguard‘s gameplay, with devastating combos that throw enemies into the air and slam them back down into the ground, and epic spells that freeze and set enemies ablaze. The trailer also showcases a variety of weapons and upgrades available and gives a first look at some of the characters you’ll meet as you venture through vast gothic labyrinths.
