Retro-styled Action Platformer Klaus Lee – Thunderballs Out Today

Klaus Lee – Thunderballs is a new retro-styled platform adventure title from developer Assemble Entertainment. The independent game studio, based in Wiesbaden, Germany, was founded in 2016 by industry veteran Stefan Marcinek. The studio is known for critically acclaimed indie hits such as Sticky Business, Roadwarden, Lacuna, and Asgard’s Fall. Klaus Lee – Thunderballs has been published by NUKKLEAR, also based in Germany.

The game is out today on Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, priced at €12.99 with an early bird discount on some. It includes over 100 levels, slow-mo stunts, and a full level editor to make your own maps. A new trailer showcasing some of the action has been released alongside the announcement, and it certainly has a great retro look to the gameplay.

In a statement, NUKKLEAR said. “Strap on your jetpack and grow out your best moustache: Klaus Lee – Thunderballs is officially out now! This over-the-top retro action-platformer throws you into a pixel-perfect 80s fever dream of explosions, temples, and homemade mayhem.”
