Neon Abyss 2 is a pixel art roguelike title released on Steam by Veewo Games in the summer of 2025. The game is currently in early access, and following several updates, the game is now starting to resonate with arcade players and is receiving much better feedback. Now, Neon Abyss 2 gets its third major update, introducing a host of new content to play, including a new playable character and a new boss.

In a press statement, Veewo Games said. “Neon Abyss 2 launches in 2026 with its third major update, available now on Steam! This milestone update introduces a brand-new playable agent, powerful new bosses, a revamped statistics system, and a new Training Center, giving players more opportunities than ever to experiment with their strategies.”

The update also improves the visuals and adds new items to collect. It also brings back a “legendary” enemy from the original game, in the form of Prometheus, one of the original Titan bosses. Another big change is simplifying the agents’ statistics thatnow come down to six core elements, and unused artifacts can be converted to stats gems for use in improving characters’ abilities. This new feature will open up new customisation options for more varied character development.
