We previously reported that the Nintendo Music app had been updated with tracks from the Game Boy classic Super Mario Land, and now it’s been joined by more catchy tunes from its sequel, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 golden Coins was originally released on Game Boy back in 1992, and in addition to being able to enjoy the game’s music on the Nintendo Music app, Nintendo Switch Online members can also play the game itself via the Nintendo Switch Online Nintendo Classics catalog.

As of today (February 24th 2026), 35 tracks, running for a total of 30 minutes, from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, are now available to stream from the Nintendo Music app, which is available on Android and iOS, but you’ll need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to log into the app.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins isn’t the only Game Boy game to have its music added to Nintendo Music this month, though (sort of!) As the music from the 2004 Game Boy Advance remakes of the original 1996 Game Boy Pokemon games (Pokemon FireRed, and Pokemon LeafGreen) was also added last Friday (20th February 2026).
