Nintendo Music Adds Zelda 2

Nintendo Music Zelda 2 packshots

We don’t report on every retro addition to the Nintendo Music app, but we do like like to keep you up to date with the more interesting retro-themed additions. For example, we previously reported on the additions of the SNES and 64DD F-Zero Soundtracks, the Super Mario World OST, and the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker soundtrack.

Today’s additions to the Nintendo Music app is a rather interesting one for fans of Zelda, and it includes something they may not have previously heard, as today’s additions to Nintendo Music as they are tracks fromfrom both the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Famicom Disk System versions of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, both of which were originally released in 1987.
The Famicom Disk System was only released in Japan, and the version of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link released on this format featured some music that had to be cut for the Western cartridge release of the game, which makes today’s addition to Nintendo Music of particular interest, as it contains Zelda music that non-Japanese gamers may not have previously heard.

The Nintendo Music app is available to download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, for subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online service.
