The Entertainment Software Board has rated Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition for the Switch. The game offers various 2D challenges and platformer games, including speedrun and survival modes. Players can expect to encounter pixelated figures using swords or arrows to defeat adversaries in quick combat scenarios.

The game may be a new version or port of the classic Nintendo World Championships 1990, which featured limited gameplay versions of Super Mario Bros., Rad Racer, and Tetris. The release was hinted at by Nintendo insider Pyoro on Twitter and has been confirmed, with a price of $29.99. The game is set to offer more than just a simple port according to Pyoro.
