Sometimes, when searching the gaming news, we find something a little different to report on. Remute, an indie developer known for his retro music produced for retro consoles, has a new album in July 2025. The retro pioneer’s latest release is for the Amiga CD32 console and Amiga home computers. The album, titled Remute², will consist of 15 tracks, each one accompanied by graphics to bring a real audio-visual treat to retro music fans.

The album can be pre-ordered now and will be dispatched around the 4th of July 2025, according to Remute’s Bandcamp page. The disc costs around £25, depending on where you are buying from and will be presented as professional pressed packs in the traditional digipak packaging. While the disc is designed to work with Amiga CD32 consoles, it will also work with Amiga home computers with a CD-ROM drive, as well as emulators.

A press statement concerning the release said. “Being a trailblazer for cartridge-based music albums for game consoles like SNES, Gameboy or Genesis, the electro-pop musician Remute returns this year with a quite extraordinary release even by his standards: Remute² is his first album for the legendary Commodore Amiga! The cult home computer of the late 80s kickstarted the term ‘multimedia’ and flabbergasted users with awesome graphics and punchy sound capabilities way ahead of their time. Many early acid-house, techno and rave artists and even contemporary musicians like Calvin Harris used an Amiga to record their music and spice things up with that special crunchy sound.”
