Amiga Title Roguecraft DX Explores A Steam Demo Ahead Of Launch

we first reported on Roguecraft DX, the PC version of the original Amiga title from developer Badger Punch Games and publisher Thalamus Digital, last month. It’s set to release on Steam in summer 2026, but a new demo has just launched that gives keen dungeon dwellers a taste of what they can expect from this port. The demo will offer access to five levels and all three player characters, while the full game is currently targeting a release in summer 2026, with a confirmed release date to be announced in the near future.

Realised in gorgeous, retro-inspired pixel animation, Roguecraft DX sends players into the procedurally-generated depths of the Mordecoom dungeons to plunder treasure, face unfathomable squelching horrors, and duel some extremely irritable chickens. A love letter to classic dungeon crawlers. Roguecraft DX is a challenging but accessible adventure for roguelike newcomers and veterans alike, realised in beautiful handcrafted pixel animation.

Key Features of Roguecraft DX:

Retro Visuals, Modern Accessibility: Roguecraft DX might look like a hardcore golden age adventure, but its flexible difficulty keeps it challenging and fun for both hard-bitten roguelike fiends and total newbies.

Classic Heroes and New Challenges: Master the way of the warrior, the rogue, and the mage across procedurally generated dungeon runs. Each hero offers a different difficulty, and every new adventure promises fresh secrets to discover and battles to push your skills to the limit.

Steam Next Fest Demo Incoming: PC players will soon get to test their mettle against the unfathomable creatures that prowl Mordecoom’s forgotten depths, with access to five of the full game’s 15 levels and all three heroes to try out across 30-40 minute runs.
