Star Wars Republic Commando Receives Impressive Unreal Engine 5 Remake

Maziura

Oleksandr Maziura spent 1.5 years creating an impressive remake of Star Wars Republic Commando using Unreal Engine 5. The original tactical first-person shooter game was released in 2005 for Xbox and Microsoft Windows platforms.

Maziura not only revamped the cut scenes but also upgraded the heads-up display (HUD), featuring the player character’s helmet with a tactical visor. These assets were all created from scratch by Maziura using Blender, rather than being sourced from the Unreal Engine store. Although there is no confirmation of a public release, fans can currently enjoy an enhanced port of the game on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 by Aspyr.
