We previously reported that G’aim’e, a plug and play lightgun for modern TVs that can play Time Crisis and other Namco arcade shooters, would be seeking funds on Kickstarter from June 24th, 2025. Well, the astute among you will have realized that’s yesterday’s date!
G’aim’e did indeed go live on Kickstarter yesterday, and it hit its target of £35,470 in a mere ten minutes!
In addution to playing Time Crisis, G’aim’e will also play three other other Namco light gun arcade shooters: Point Blank, Steel Gunner, and Steel Gunner 2.
You can still back the G’aim’e campaign on Kickstarter. The campaign has another 58 days left to run, and the total raised so far stands at a whopping £262,214 at the time of writing.
G’aim’e is a Japanese produvct, so pledges are made in Japanese Yen.
A pledge of ¥14,500 will get you the G’aim’e Basic, which includes the G’aim’e gun with a 3m cable), a Time Crisis TV unit, a 1m power cable, a 1m HD cable, an instruction manual, and a Kickstarter exclusive keychain.
A pledge of ¥19,800 will get you the G’aim’e Premium, which includes everything from the basic package, plus Point Blank, Steel Gunner, Steel Gunner 2, a pedal with a 3m cable, and a collectable pin badge.
