26 Years Later, A Prank From April Fool’s Day Becomes Real As A Resident Evil 2 Mod Allowing You To Shoryuken Zombies As A Street Fighter Character

Gamers can now rejoice as the long-rumored Resident Evil 2 Akuma Mode has become a reality. Initially thought to be a prank from a gaming magazine in April 1998, the idea of unlocking the Street Fighter character Akuma in Resident Evil 2 has now been brought to life through a new mod by Captain Kashup, Snipz, and Zky.

This mode allows players to step into the shoes of Akuma and take on various undead enemies with his iconic fighting style. Unlike the hoax that required completing the game multiple times, this mod can be accessed easily with the Resident Evil 2 Sourcenext PC Version and the latest version of Classic Rebirth. Players can also unlock an alternate ending by eliminating all guest stars turned into zombies. It’s time to embrace Akuma‘s power and show the zombies who the real winner is.
