Silver Axe – The Honest Elf is a retro-inspired action platformer released on the Switch, Xbox and PlayStation in September 2024. Now, developer Happy Player has teamed up with physical specialist Leoful to bring the game to Switch collectors’ hands on December 3rd, 2024. The physical edition is titled Master Edition, which includes the game’s DLC Master Mode to bring the complete game together. The game was originally released on Steam in 2023 and has constantly received favourable reviews with players commenting on its bright visuals and interesting combat mechanics.
In Silver Axe, players will embark on an epic 2D action-adventure inspired by Aerop’s classical story The Honest Woodcutter. Jump, dash, and fight as a nimble elf in challenging levels that will put platforming skills to the test, and take down bosses with the power of the four forest elements. They will also assist the animals in the forest and be rewarded with information on hidden passages and enemy weaknesses. The choices made in the game will change the ending, making every playthrough a different experience.
