We’ve been following Roguecraft DX’s journey from its origins as a humble Amiga homebrew title to its forthcoming release on PC via Steam, having previously reported on the announcement of a Steam version of the game, and then on the release of its Steam demo.
And now, Roguecraft DX’s developer, Badger Punch Games, has announced that Roguecraft DX, their “classic roguelike” that “celebrates the golden era of adventure games,” will finally be released on Steam on September 10.
Badger Punch Games describes Roguecraft DX as follows: “brought to life with meticulously handcrafted isometric pixel art, Roguecraft DX beckons you to the murky depths of Mordecoom, where untold riches and ancient horrors shamble in the darkness… alongside some highly irritable chickens. Choose from one of three distinct classes: the fragile yet formidable Wizard, the brawn-over-brains Warrior, or the slippery teleporting Rogue, all while rocking out to an original Amiga mod soundtrack,” going on to add that: “Roguecraft DX might have old school sensibilities, but it has plenty to keep modern players interested. Runs are designed to respect your time, with each dungeon delve taking 30-40 minutes – ideal for total roguelike newbies or players familiar with that “one more run” feeling.”
Badger Punch Games went on to add that: “Each class offers a different difficulty level, letting you scale Roguecraft DX’s challenge to the perfect level for you. Between each hero’s distinct playstyle and the ever-shifting, procedurally-generated dungeon packed with secrets, there’s tons to discover in the dank gloom of Mordecoom.”
Roguecraft DX will be released by publisher Thalamus Digital on PC via Steam on September 10, 2026, but you can wishlist the game and play the demo now.
