Astro Burn is a new retro-inspired cute ‘em-up title from developer Beyond The Pixels that was announced for Steam, Epic, and GOG previously. Now, the developer is creating a physical version of the game via a crowdfunding campaign. The Kickstarter will launch soon, but interested parties can register for email notifications when it goes live.
The game has been designed to meet retro gamers’ tastes, but with modern functionality. In a press statement, Beyond The Pixels said. “Players would hold their cherished new game in their hands, with no need to download patches or updates or sign up anywhere, and dive into new worlds either solo or together, sharing a couch with friends (or opponents!). This is the modern retro way, and Astro Burn is capturing that with a USB cartridge edition for PC and Mac.”
