In July last year, we brought you the news that Ninty Media were releasing a new book all about the GameBoy Advance. Gamebook Advance celebrates everything about Nintendo’s final GameBoy handheld through retrospectives of its best games, insights into its development and release, technical specifications and love letters from fans about their own experiences with the GBA. The book is now available to buy following the successful Kickstarter campaign, and there is a host of extras such as pin badges and posters to bolster the experience.
Gamebook Advance is presented in a hardback cover with high-quality paper across over 300 pages of GBA goodness. There is a choice of a standard edition or a deluxe version, which adds some extra merchandise that can also be bought separately.
In a press statement, Ninty Media said. “As well as a quintessential list of the best GameBoy Advance games, there will be a historical dive into the platform as well as more in-depth retrospectives on many of the titles that defined the handheld. There’s a nod to myriad of SNES games which were ported to the hardware, a comprehensive, hand-drawn timeline, and the retrospectives will be written by some outstanding freelance writers which go into more detail about the definitive GameBoy Advance games, with these iconic franchises accompanied by some mesmerising artwork.”
