Gigasword is a new retro-inspired action-adventure title for solo developer Studio Hybrid and publisher Akupara Games. It has been in development for over five years but has now been given a release date. Gigasword will be out on Steam from the 2nd of October 2025, and those wanting an early taste can play a demo right now. The game stars a giant sword-wielding hero called Ezra, who must solve puzzles as well as battle enemies during his adventure.
In a statement from the publisher, it said. “Ezra is finally ready to embark on his disastrous journey to save humanity and restore order to the Nestrium. He’ll face bombastic bosses and solve mind-melting puzzles, using the Gigasword’s immense weight to shape his path. The sword isn’t just used for battle; it unlocks doors, activates switches, and more! But beware, the sword’s hefty weight can easily become your greatest tribulation.”
