Forgotten Fragments is a new puzzle platformer in development by indie studio Binary Phoenix. The game has been picked up by publisher Assemble Entertainment and is set for release on Steam later in 2025. A new trailer for the game shows that the main gameplay loop revolves around magic energy spheres to manipulate the environment. There is currently a demo available for those looking to get a feel for what can be expected.
In a press release, Assemble Entertainment confirmed that Forgotten Fragments would include solo play and co-op campaigns across over 120 hand-crafted levels. There will be three playable characters trying to solve the puzzles and uncover plenty of secrets as they traverse forgotten places. From the trailer, we can see Forgotten Fragments will feature some beautiful pixel art and some great puzzle elements that will please retro fans.
“Forgotten Fragments is about the rediscovery of both the world and oneself,” said Marc Pons, 2D Artist and Art Director at Binary Phoenix. “We wanted a game that’s as emotionally resonant as it is mechanically satisfying.”
