Retro-Bit to Reissue Physical Games for SNES & Genesis

Retro-Bit reissue of Arcus Odyssey

Retro-Bit, a company dedicated to classic retro gaming, have announced that it will be reissuing two 16-bit console games on cartridges for their respective machines.

The two games set to be reissued by Retro-Bit are Arcus Odyssey, which h is an RPG developed for Genesis/Mega Drive by Wolf Team, before they went in to develop the ‘Tales…’ series, and Psycho Dream, a side-scrolling action game for SNES that has never previously been released on cartridge in North America and Europe.

“We’re thrilled to kick off 2026 with a pair of true hidden gems from Renovation,” explains Richard Igros, Director of Marketing at Retro-Bit. “Unfairly overlooked back in 1991, Arcus Odyssey mixes action with epic fantasy dungeon crawling to create an unforgettable adventure with levels and bosses so intense that you’re going to need to enlist a second player for help. Speaking of unforgettable, that is just one of the many words that perfectly describes Psycho Dream, a hallucinatory fever dream of a game that throws players into a weird and wildly creative world with surprises in every stage. Canceled right before it was set to be released outside of Japan, we’re excited to finally bring Psycho Dream to the Super NES® for the first time in North America and Europe in this limited-edition physical release.”

Pre-orders for both Arcus Odyssey on Genesis/Mega Drive and Psycho Dream on SNES are available now, individually, and will run through May 24 at both Retro-Bit® Publishing’s website and participating retailers. Both games are priced at $59.99 in North America, $84.99 in Canada, and €69,99 in Europe.

Previous Retro-Bit coproducts on which we have reported include their re-release of Rodland, and their Sega Saturn fight stick.
