We recently reported on a new trailer for Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening that showcased the new game’s amazing anime cutscenes. Now, publisher Microids, along with developer Magic Pockets, has unveiled an all-new gameplay trailer that gives players a detailed look at how Cobra’s Psychogun will work, as well as some more footage of some of the levels and enemies within the game. There was also news of playable demos being available for some versions of the game.
Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening is set for release on PC, Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on the 26th of August 2025. It will be available digitally and as a physical pack that includes an artbook and some extra content, such as missions. The game is based on the 1978 anime series created by Buichi Terasawa and has a cult following, especially for the beloved titular Cobra adventurer.
