UFO 50

UFO 50, a collection of 50 retro-style games, on which we previously reported prior to its Steam release, was released on Nintendo Switch today (August 7th, 2025), after being announced at during Nintendo’s Indie World stream.

The UFO 50 collection of retro-style games was originally released on Steamlast year,  in September 2024, where the game has gathered a smattering of “very positive” and “overwhelmingly positive” reviews.

And now, Nintendo Switch owners can also enjoy the collection of 50 retro style games, which include platformers, shoot ’em ups, puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs, and as you play through the games, you make connections and learn more about UFO Soft, the fictional 80s company behind the games, as well as their expansive shared universe that includes sequels and recurring characters. The games include both single player and multiplayer titles, and they come from good pedigree, too, having been created by the creators of Spelunky, Downwell, Air Land & Sea, Skorpulac, Catacomb Kids, and Madhouse. What’s more, the game’s publisher, Mossmouth boldly state the 50 games included on UFO 50 are full games, and not just minigames or microgames!

UFO 50 is available now from the Nintendo Store for less than 50 cents per game, at the price of just $24.99 (or local equivalent).
