Retro-styled Fighting Title Verdict Guilty Clash Announced for Dreamcast

verdict guilty clash

Verdict Guilty Clash is a new Dreamcast title that has been ported from the original Verdict Guilty game released to modern systems in 2016. Developer Retro Army, alongside publisher PixelHeart, has announced it’s now up for pre-order with a release date of October 24th, 2025. The game is inspired by many of the classic 90s arcade fighting titles, such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, but brings lots of new ideas to the arena for a fresh experience.

The Dreamcast port of Verdict Guilty Clash features four exclusive characters, and it keeps the easy-to-learn gameplay and signature mechanics like handcuffs and gunplay for fast, accessible arcade action. Three of the new characters are from PixelHeart’s other fighting title, Breakers, and one is a legendary professional wrestler, Mr. Kennedy.

As with all good fighting games, Verdict Guilty Clash features a backstory. Neo Seoul has been hit with a wave of terrorist and crime attacks; only a few good officers remain willing to battle this new evil. Players will discover the dark secrets of Neo Seoul as they fight their way to uncover the truth. They will choose their side, cop or criminal, as they battle their way to unmask the evil syndicate crimelord himself.
